International Students Clinic

Funded by Merri-bek City Council, this project provides legal advice and assistance to international students who live, work and study in the Hume, Merri-bek and Mitchell Shire local government areas.

The International Student Clinic runs every Wednesday by telephone for free legal advice on a range of matters. Referrals for financial help and mental health support are also available.

​
Our International Student Lawyer is available to provide community legal education across a range of areas including respectful relationships, family violence, debts, fines, consumer disputes, complaints against police and employment issues. We also provide general legal information in relation to the Australian legal system with an emphasis on providing such legal education to newly arrived communities.
